MercatX Ltd was formed in November 2007 through a partnership of Millersoft Ltd and Halley Information Systems Ltd.

Halley Information Systems Ltd was formed in 1997 to provide high quality software consultancy services, from analysis through to implementation. Contracts have been completed for many blue-chip companies such as Mobil North Sea Ltd, ESSO Petroleum Co. Ltd, Cisco Systems, Cairn Energy, Student Loans Company and Spektra Systems Ltd.

Several of these contracts have included project management elements and assembling and managing teams of fellow consultants. Halley Information Systems Ltd is currently involved (and has been for over 3 years) with a system support contract providing 24 hour, 365 day a year critical systems support for ESSO Petroleum Co. Ltd

Millersoft Ltd was formed in 1996 to provide software engineering solutions to the private sector. Customers included; American Express, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Power, Sun Microsystems and CISCO Systems where turnover peaked at 500K/year. The bulk of contracts covered design and implementation of bespoke Information Systems from Data Warehousing solutions through to Internet Portals.

Halley Information Systems Ltd and Millersoft Ltd have both worked together in a previous partnership to provide Business Intelligence solutions to the National Health Service.

Alan has a wide range of experience of IT across a broad spectrum of industries from defence, oil and gas, CRM/call centres through to ERP and BI systems. Alan has a delivered systems for blue chip companies such as, ExxonMobil, Cisco, Mobil-NorthSea, British Steel (now Corus), Student Loans,Telecom Service Centres and Creative Wines.

This wide ranging experience will be deployed to ensure that MercatX delivers quality products and meets its customers' expectations.

Calum has broad industry experience, having undertaken contracts for Bank of Scotland, Scottish Power, Sun Microsystems, CISCO Systems, Student Loans and is currently acting as a Master Data Management (MDM) consultant to one of the world's largest investment banks.

Calum brings a wealth of experience in data warehousing and OLAP analysis using both open and closed source tools like Mondrian and Microsoft Analysis Services. Getting high volume operational data into an state suitable for analysis is his specialty.

Calum will be using his years of experience to tune the MercatX product range and ensure the company is focused on meeting customer requirements.
